AppManagedAutomationConfig

data class AppManagedAutomationConfig

Configuration for app-managed automations.

Unlike user-managed automations, app-managed automations are characterized by:

  • Structure Ownership: They execute using structure-based credentials at runtime instead of being tied to the credentials of the user who originally created them.

  • Household-wide Management: They can be viewed, updated, or deleted by any active member authorized on the structure.

  • Implementation Detail Only: They are typically hidden from end-users in main application lists (e.g., they can set visibleOnlyToManagingApp to be hidden from standard UIs).

Summary

Public properties

List<LocalizedText>

Localized human readable names of the managing applications.

Boolean

Whether to show the automation in non-managing apps (e.g. Google Home app).

Public properties

managingAppDisplayNames

val managingAppDisplayNamesList<LocalizedText>

Localized human readable names of the managing applications.

When an application creates or manages an automation on behalf of a user, it should provide its localized display names here so that automation activity can be attributed to the application. When the automation executes, the platform uses these localized names to attribute the activity to the managing application and display clear, localized branding to end users.

visibleOnlyToManagingApp

val visibleOnlyToManagingAppBoolean

Whether to show the automation in non-managing apps (e.g. Google Home app).

If set to true, the automation is app-managed and is hidden from non-managing apps.

If set to `false`, the automation is visible to non-managing apps.
