Create a company profile

The Google Home Developer Console offers a place to record basic information about your company that is used by Google for marketing and promotion as well as for Matter certification.

To fill out your Company profile:

Go to the Developer Console

  1. From the list of projects, click Open next to the project you want to work with.

  2. Click Project home.

  3. Click Project Details, where you'll see the Company profile card and the status Incomplete.

  4. Click Submit profile.

Company info

  1. Under Basic info, enter the company name and the company website URL.

    • Company name should match your company website.
    • Company website should have a page on how to build smart home devices.
  2. Under Company assets, upload a 192x192px company logo in either JPG or PNG format, which is used in marketing and promotion, as well as for Cloud-to-cloud integrations, where applicable, such as in the Google Home app (GHA).

  3. Under Privacy policy, enter the web URL for your company's privacy policy.

    • The privacy policy must come from your company domain or from any parent, subsidiary, or any relative domain.
    • The private policy can't be a PDF or document file.
    • The privacy policy must disclose how user data is used.

Contact information

  1. Provide the address of the company headquarters and select the country from the drop-down menu.

    • Company headquarter address should match the company website.
  2. Provide at least one contact of each type, up to a maximum of three for each of the three contact categories (Developer contacts, Marketing contacts, and Business contacts).

    Each contact has its own name, email address, and company.

    Click Add contact to add a contact.

    To delete a contact, click the button next to the one you want to delete.

Marketing and promotion options

In the final section of the Company profile, you may opt-in to receiving marketing and promotional communication from Google. By default, you are opted out from all selections.

Review process

When you are satisfied with the company profile information you've entered, click Submit.

After submission, your entries are reviewed by Google. While under review, the Company profile card will display the status In review in yellow.

If your company profile is rejected, the status will show Rejected in red, followed by the Google policy violations that caused the rejection. You have the opportunity to revise your submission and resubmit for approval.

Once your company profile is approved, the status will show Live in green and will automatically go into effect for all launched integrations.

Edit the company profile

You can edit your company profile at any time. If you edit the profile while it is still under review, your most recent changes replace any previous edits. To modify your company profile:

Go to the Developer Console

  1. From the list of projects, click Open next to the project you want to work with.

  2. Click Project home.

  3. Click Project Details and go to the Company profile card.

  4. Click Submit profile.

  5. Make the necessary changes, then click Submit to submit your changes for review.

Imported projects

The Company Profile for an imported project can only be edited in the Actions on Google Console. Changes there will be reflected in the Google Home Developer Console.
